WATER

Scroll

This series came about from spending hours staring at water, waiting for fish to bite. I became obsessed with trying to understand why bodies of water look like they do at any point in time. A litany of elements were considered when strategizing the creation of these paintings but the motivation ultimately came from two occasions where I became transfixed, hypnotized from looking at thin lines of light which snaked their way over and around bumpy gentle waves- one in a reservoir and one in a river. These formative events compelled me to create this series.
